Cindy Crawford and Remington Support Together for Kids
|
Beginning in October 2008, when you buy a Remington Smooth & Silky® shaver, a portion of the proceeds will directly benefit Together for Kids hospitals. Supporting the lifesaving efforts of our children’s hospitals has special meaning for Remington spokesperson Cindy Crawford.
When Cindy Crawford was just eight years old, her little brother, Jeff, was diagnosed with leukemia. Despite Jeff’s courage and the valiant efforts of the doctors and staff at the University of Wisconsin Children’s Hospital, her brother lost his battle to cancer just before his fourth birthday.
By donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of every Remington Smooth & Silky® shavers to Together for Kids, Remington is helping Cindy in her quest to give more families access to the same world-class treatment Jeff received.
“Together for Kids helps over 50 children’s hospitals around the country conduct potentially lifesaving pediatric research, introduce state-of-the-art treatments and technologies, and provide the kind of compassionate support system that meant so much to me and my family,” Cindy said.
The University of Wisconsin Children’s Hospital, now known as American Family Children’s Hospital, is one of the 53 children’s hospitals in the Together for Kids nationwide network.
